So I wanted to talk about my dads Brand new 2018 Tacoma Off-Road edition. He wanted to get a new truck because he has had a 2008 Tacoma once it came out and hasn’t used another car since. Once my sister and I pleaded with him to let us have his and he can get a new one. He finally told her that once she sold her car she could have his car and her money would go towards his new one. It took a while to sell her car and she tried craigslist, the car place we bought it from and Toyota car shop. Most of the people wanting to buy it on craigslist were scammers or didn’t want to pay a fair price for the car. We ended up having to try the used car shop where we got it from, it was not much better than craigslist because he wanted to little for it. The only option left was the Toyota shop and they were willing to pay a price that was better than both craigslist or the used car shop would. But sadly it wasn’t enough but my dad just wanted to get rid of it and get a new car so he ended up selling to them. So after that, we went to visit the store and checked out the cars. He knew that he wanted a light grey or white color, sadly they only had dark grey so we couldn’t get that so then he chose the white version. He then had to choose what type; Off-Road edition or the sports edition. He wanted to get the sports edition because it is meant for urban or road travel and not as much going offroad. But my sister and I didn’t think it looked as good and also he would be taking it Off-Road more then he thinks he will. So he ended up getting the new Tacoma offroad edition and gave my sister his old Tacoma. Now the new Tacoma has got a lot of good upgrades that make it much better than the older version. It, of course, has got new technological advancements such as the dashboard has been turned into a giant screen with the newest GPS system, better sound system display, being able to access contacts and other apps that are on your phone. All in all, it is a great truck and is just a big step up from the older versions.
New Day, New Car
My sister recently sold her car and got my dads 2008 Tacoma that she has wanted for years. It is still in great condition for such an old car, and it has over 100,000 miles on it. It doesn’t have anything fancy in the interior but I don’t think it needs to. The car that she gave to my dad is a BMW X3 that was a 2014 but it was in decent condition. The problem with BMW’s is that if you have a problem with your car you have to take it to a BMW shop and no other. They make it overly expensive to fix up your car and you end up paying more for fixing up the car then buying it. She decided that she would rather have a more offroading car so that she can do more adventures stuff. I personally think that the Tacoma is a great truck for urban and also for more country life. Depending on the cab size it can be hard to park but it can also hold a lot of things. It is good for surfers, construction workers, transporting large shipments of items and is just all around great car. It gets about 15 mpg so it is not horrible compared to other trucks and can last a lot longer because it is a Toyota. I would say that one of the only problems is trying to parallel park with it, but after a while, you get used to the size. I also love that after taking my dogs on a beach walk and them getting all sandy I can put them in the back of the truck and make sure they are securely in and safe. If you want to put a camper shell on it you can do that too, it looks great on Tacomas and it is very useful. If you need to move it can also hold a lot of things with extreme weight so you may not need to rent a moving truck. It is also a comfortable road trip truck to take anywhere and do almost anything in.
